"Er, we can eat at school, you know," Elliot suggested, seeing Adam look around his cupboards through meager supplies of food. "You don't have to worry yourself about getting something, so I'll find us something at school," he told him, grabbing his backpack and sorting through it, making sure he had what he needed for school. Thankfully, he had snagged some money from the house he had raided last night, and his dad's pocket. His uncle was out drunk, last night, so he couldn't steal from him. He had money to buy them some school breakfast.

Adam looked up at Elliot as he suggested eating at school and he shrugged. "Alright. Uhh. . . I just have to change quickly" he said with a slight grin. He darted back into his room and opened his drawers, pullling out a light blue t-shirt and black jeans. He changed into them quickly and grabbed a brush off of the top of the dresser, running it through his messy hair. He gave up on that after a few moments, knowing it wouldn't make much of a difference, as it had no tangles or anything, it was just everywhere, as always. He walked out of his room and grabbed his backpack, shoving everything in it with a yawn. He wasn't too happy about being awake, but there was school. He grabbed a bit of money and slipped it in his pocket, ready to go now.

They both walked out the door, Elliot waited for Adam to lock it before they took off for school. What would he get when he got there? Hmm, probably just some milk, and maybe some kind of treat? He could get Adam whatever he wanted, because he had more than enough money to buy them lunch as well. Good thing he was snoopy. "OKay, so I'll get you whatever you want at school, so what are you gonna want to eat?" he asked the neko who walked beside him tiredly. "It doesn't matter about money, 'cause I, uh....found some at my dad's house when I was there, so what're you gonna want?"

Adam locked the door behind them as they walked outside and he stuck his key in his pocket. He walked beside Elliot down the street, still not feeling completely awake. He would be fine with lying down on the sidewalk and going to sleep there, even if he had gotten a great sleep. . . he was always tired for about twenty minutes after he wakes up before he'll actually be up. At Elliot's quiestion he looked up at him and shrugged. "Um. . . I dunno. . . I've never really eaten at the school" he normally brought a lunch, but every once and awhile he would buy his lunch there, but that was it. He didn't want Elliot to have to pay, but he didn't know how much he could really argue with that.

"Okay, then I'll just let you pick when you get there, it's easy, 'cause some of the food they have in the morning is actually good. The milk there is always good, so you can definetly have fun trying to pick out what kind you like." Ah, it was always tough to choose which milk he would drink from that school. He wondered why he liked milk so much, and he thought it would be because it was the neko-cat kind of thing. It could have been, he didn't know. "I think they have stuff like... muffins, bagels...um...fruit....and something else I never get, what was it?" he questioned himself as they walked down the sidewalk.

Adam nodded, becoming more awake now. The food at the school did sound pretty good, which was a bit of a surprise. He liked milk alot as well, but he didn't often have it at home. "Sounds good" he said with a smile. He was pretty awake now, much brighter than he was before. They were just about to turn a corner when the bullies from the day before cut them off.
"Well well well. . . look who it is? Did the kitties have a sweepover?" the 'leader' as he could be called, asked in a mock baby-voice. He and his friends laughed as Adam's ears went down and he blushed. "And now you're walking your boyfriend to school?" he asked, looking to Elliot. "How cute! I hope you didn't get up to anything naughty" they roared with laughter again and Adam blushed even darker, looking to the ground. He really hated those guys.

Elliot stopped when Adam stopped, seeing the guys from the day before who had taunted them, only to get owned in the end. He saw Adam turn red and look to the ground when the guys mocked them. "Yes, I am walking my friend to school." He would have just said boyfriend, but he didn't think Adam wanted their relationship public to a couple of jerks. "And what're you doin'? Walking each other to school so you won't get lost on the way?" he threw back at them, casually stepping in front of Adam to protect him from their torrent of words.

Adam looked up as Elliot defended them again. He was grateful that the other neko didn't use the word 'boyfriend'. . . he didn't want them to have another thing to taunt them for. Elliot stepped in front of him the way he had the day before, as if to protect him, and it made him feel a bit better, but the jerk's retort to Elliot's words worried him. "We don' get lost. We were lookin' for you, kitties" he said with a sadistic looking grin. "Does tha wittew kitties think they can defend themsewves?" he asked in his mock baby voice again. Adam grew worried now as the bullies cracked their knuckles and took a few steps towards the two nekos.

ELliot held his ground as the guy encroached upon them. "Actually, this isn't a fair fight, because I'm going to win against all of you," he bluffed. Maybe they'd believe it or something. Not that they would, but it was a start to get the fight done and over with. "Adam," he whispered for only Adam's ears to hear. "You have to get out of here, when the fight starts, run, you got it? Go to the school and cover for me or something." He didn't know if Adam could fight back or not, but he wasn't going to risk him getting hurt and not being able to defend himself. He could probably take on one or two of them, even if they did gang up on him.

Adam knew that Elliot was lying when he said that he was going to win, as much as he wanted to beleive. The jerks obviously didn't beleive him either as they laughed and continued to take a few more steps closer. Adam knew his face was pale, but he shook his head at Elliot's words. "I'm not leaving you here alone" he whispered back. He was used to being abused by his parents, so this wouldn't be much different right? He hoped not, even though his parents beating him was what scared him the most, other than thunder storms, but he wouldn't leave Elliot to run. He just couldn't leeve him to get beaten up.

"Go on, hurry," Elliot continued, trying to urge him away so he wouldn't get hurt. "Hurry it up, just get to school already. I'll be fine." One had attempted to throw a punch while he was trying to talk to Adam, but Elliot swerved to avoid it, and instead, bringing his fist back and slamming it into the kid's stomach. Just go, Adam, I don't want you getting hurt!" The fight was begining, and Adam was still here. He needed to get out of range from it so he wouldn't be involved.

Adam bit his lip as Elliot continued to urge him to leave. He didn't know weather to listen to him, or to stay behind and try to help. He wasn't one for fighting, but he didn't want to leave Elliot alone with all of them to beat him up. He made up his mind quickly, doing as the older neko said, as much as he didn't want to. "Be careful" he whispered fearfully as the fight started to break out. He turned and dashed away, not glancing back. He ran as fast as he could away from them, and towards the school, but he heart a shout of "Hey! The blonde rat's gettin' away! Someone grab 'im!". He glanced back to see one of them running behind him, gaining on his quickly. He tried to speed up some more, but the kid caught up, grabbing him around the waist and pulling him backwards. "Where do you think you're going kitty?" he asked with a laugh. Adam struggled with no avail, being pulled back and shoved roughly to the center of the fight, next to Elliot.

Elliot made a low growling noise in the back of his throat. They really wanted to get back at both of them, didn't they? He'd have to get this over quick. Maybe if he brought most of them down, Adam would have another chance to get away. He could keep the rest busy, if he brought some of them down. He just had to make sure he could protect Adam. He set his backpack down, it being a hindrance to him. He got ready to fight the others that were advancing cautiosly, now that they saw he could fight back when he had punched the one guy's stomach. "I'll find you another chance, don't worry," he told Adam.

Adam glanced around at them as Elliot dropped his backpack. He kept his on, it not being very heavy, and it might act as some padding to his back. He knew he wouldn't be able to fight them very well, but he was quick, so dodging would be easier. He nodded when the older neko told him that he'd get him another chance to get away, not trusting his voice to say anything. He was terrified, especially as they started to form a sort of lopside circle to insure that all side of them were covered. One lashed out at Adam's head but he ducked out of the way, trying to keep an eye on all of them at the same time, which didn't work at all, and he got a punch to the back of his head, causing him to see stars, but he shook his head and blinked a few times, showing no isgns of the pain he had felt.

Elliot lashed out at one of the guys himself, when he saw Adam take a blow to the head. He could duck when one was attacking, and immediatly follow up after that, with an attack of his own. Mostly, he stuck with punching, since it was faster than kicking, and kicking, if they caught your foot, they could get you to the ground. Elliot could see Adam was doing well on dodging and holding up his own. It seemed though, that no matter who they hit, they would just get back up and come at them again. Eventually, they'd get tired, all of them, but the two nekos would get tired faster, since they were fighting more and had the disadvantage.

Adam continued to duck and dodge the best he could, receiving a few more blows none the less. He was hit in the stomach pretty hard, which sent him coughing, but he continued to try to dodge them. He glanced at Elliot a few times, making sure that he was alright. He had thought about fighting back, but after one punch he decided it wasn't such a good idea, as the one he had tried to hit grabbed his arm and held onto it so that he couldn't move as easily and he was punched in the face. It wasn't very hard, as he had been squirming, so he wasn't bleeding or anything, but it still hurt. The guy let go of his arm as he drove his knee into the guys crotch. Adam backed up as the guy yelled profanities at him, extremely angry. He was starting to think it wasn't such a great idea, as he had put all of his strength behind that, and now the guy wanted him even more hurt, But he continued to duck punches, hoping that they would get either tired or bored, and they would be left alone.

Adam wasn't doing half bad, even though he stayed on the defensive side, Elliot had noticed. They were each getting a share of hits, but Elliot was doing enough of his own damage, so it was pretty fair on his terms. But he thought that since Adam wasn't fighting, only dodgiing attacks, and still getting hit, it wasn't fair for him. He'd have to speed this along so Adam could get out of here quicker and not suffer any more damage. "You doin' okay, Adam?" he asked as he nailed someone in the jaw with his knuckles. They had a couple of them down by now, but there was still a majority up and coming. If he could only get a few more down....
BUt all hope of that soon was killed, as there were more guys turning the corner, gesturing to some behind them and shouting over at the gang fight. Reinforcements, of course. "You guys are stupid cowards," Elliot shot at them. Instead of some other words shot back, they knocked him over, one kid had been thrown at him, pinning him on the ground. "Adam! Try and get out of here, now!" he shouted, trying to get him away from the rest of the danger that would be impossible to beat.

Adam had to dodge more from the one guy he had hurt than the rest of them, but he was doing ok. "Yeah" he replied to Elliot's question. He was about to ask if the other neko was when he caught a glimpse of the other group of kids coming aroudn the corner, and Elliot yelled at them, calling them cowards. He glanced down the the older neko fearfully when he was knocked down, and he bit his lip again when he was told to get away. He cast his gaze around the circle, trying to see an opening, but there was none, so he hurled himself at what appeared to be the smallest of them, hoping to be able to break free, but three of them grabbed him and shoved him back. He tripped backwards and fell, landing near Elliot on the ground. He gave a small wimper as they closed in tighter around the two on the ground. He didn't know what to do. There wasn't anything to do, really.

Elliot struggled with all of his energy, trying to get free of the weight of the kid pinning him down. He had to protect Adam as best as he could, even if it meant that he'd come out with a few extra scratches than planned. He bit the arm closest to him of the one holding him down, squirming free of the kid. He wrapped his arms and most of his upper body around Adam, trying to protect him from the attacks that were to come. They'd get bored of beating them up when they could no longer fight back, so he'd just have to endure it.

Adam was trembling on the ground, waiting for the attacks to come. This reminded him too much of his past, being abused repeatedly, for no good reason. He looked at Elliot as the other neko wrapped his arms and upper body around him to sheild him, which earned them more jokes about them being gay. He tried to stop his shaking, but couldn't manage very well. "Elliot, get off, they're just going to hurt you more" he whispered fearfully as they began to kick out at the two nekos. He really hoped that they'd all get bored and leave them already, but he had no idea how soon that would happen.

"I don't care," Elliot grunted out as they were being kicked. He bit back cries of pain as he was repeatedly kicked and punched, keeping his arms tightly around Adam to prevent him from taking too many blows. "I'm not going to let you get hurt." He gasped as someone kneed him sharply in the back, digigng into his spine. They kept on jeering, teasing, beating, all around, none of the guys were letting up or showing that they were getting bored in the slightest.

Adam closed his eyes and gritted his teeth. He wasn't hit nearly as much as Elliot, but it still hurt. "How come I don't get a say in this? I don't want YOU to get hurt either" he hissed as a foot collided with the side of his head. As he received more blows he found himself with his arms around Elliot as well, not caring about their words anymore. He swatted away a few kicks, hurting his hands in the process, but keeping them away from Elliot as best as he could with the older neko's arms around him like that. Sooner or later the group would have to disperse right? He just hoped that it was sooner, rather than later.

"You don't, not right now," Elliot whispered back, losing strength to talk with all the pain flaring up in places on his body. "I'm saying I'm going to protect you, even if you don't want me hurt. Protectors are supposed to get hurt, so maybe you can have a say in something next time." A kick to the ribs, repeated kicks that could crack his ribs, some people were pulling roughly on his tail and his ears, making them burn in pain. "Don't worry, they'll leave." Eventually, he hoped.

Adam growled slightly as he was told that he didn't have a say in it. "I don't want a say in something next time, I want a say in this now" he choked out, seeing all of the blows he was getting. Someone grabbed a handful of his blonde hair and yanked on it, causing him to let his gaurd down and let out a short wail of pain, but he stopped quickly, and held it in as he received kicks to his sides, under Elliot's protection. His tail was stomped on several times, so he pulled it to his side, trying to get it out of harms way. "How soon is eventually?" he whispened, more scared for Elliot than himself. He wasn't getting that much damage done, but Elliot was being pounded with kicks and punches.

"I don't know, but eventually has to come," he said, holding as best as he could to Adam with his sore arms that were bruised and unable to do much more than hold him. He wasn't sure how much longer he could hold out against these guys. There were too many of them. The only escape from this was to pass out, but then who knew what would happen to them if they did lose consciousness. And, he couldn't be the one to lose it first, or he couldn't protect Adam. "We'll get out of this, I know it," he whispered, one of his eyes closing as someone placed a well aimed kick on the side of his face.
