"Ahh, good, good, that's awesome," Elliot laughed, smiling. He saw Adam take a glance at the clock, then took a look too. It was almost time to go, and they didn't have much time left to sit and chat. They could talk after school was over, which couldn't be too long from now. He still had gym, and he was still trying to get away from that. He'd think of something, he always did.

Adam smiled and nodded, "Yeah, it is" he agreed. He glanced around, seeing that as the door closed, they were the last ones left in the cafeteria. He dragged himself to his feet, really not wanting to go. "Ugh, I gotta head to english. . . it's on the opposite side of the school as my locker" he said with a sigh. His locker was also pretty much on the other side fo the school from where he was, so he needed to get going. "I'll see you after work then I guess" he said with a small smile.

"Yeah, see you," Elliot said, smiling and waving slightly. He had to go to gym, which was somewhat close to his locker. But then....there was his creepy gym teacher. Questions would be asked if he said his ribs were broken and he couldn't participate. If he didn't have some kind of note or anything from either parents or doctor, he didn't think he could get away with it. They would think his parents were beating him or something if he said he couldn't get any kind of note, and even if it was sometimes true, he didn't need his dad going off on him for getting caught. So what was he going to do?

Adam glanced around the empty cafeteria once more to make sure there was nobody else there before darting over to Elliot's side of the table and giving him a quick hug, kissing him on the cheek, before letting go. "Bye" he said with a smile, walking to the doors and giving a wave before leaving, and running down the halls towards his locker. He grabbed what he would need for english, and headed down the hallways again, weaving between the people to get to his english class, on the other side of the school. A glance at the clock told him he had about three minutes, so he would probably make it barely on time.

Elliot had been a little startled when Adam had quickly returned to him, and he was about to open his mouth to speak, to ask him if there was anything he wanted. Adam had hugged him and given him a small kiss on the cheek. Elliot was left standing there with his eyes wide and his mouth open slightly. "Bye..." he said as Adam walked off. He turned around on his heels and walked to his next class. Great...

Adam slipped into the classroom a bit beforer the bell, and he explained to the teacher, who was sitting at her desk, that he had been sick the previous day. Then he slid into his seat at the back of the room and opened his books, resting his chin on his hand as he waited for the rest of the class to get seated and the lesson to start. He didn't particularily like english, other than reading, so the class was dull, like most of them. They were doing poetry, which he took no interest in, but he completed the assignment, a bit distracted, as he had been the rest of the day.

Elliot tried to side step the gym teacher that was interrogating him about his absence and slight tardiness. Elliots excuse; he got pushed down some stairs by his cousin, and he was tardy because he was flirting with some girls down the hall. The gym teacher didn't seem very amused by this, but he didn't have much of a choice to belive him about getting pushed. Elliot said his ribs were broken and that he probably couldn't participate in gym for a while, but the gym teacher looked like he was going to make him try anyway.

Adam didn't look up as the intercom crackled, though he was listening, constantly fearful to hear his name being called, that his parents had finally figured out where he was. He continued to work on his poem, until he heard the secretary's voice echoing through the halls. "Elliot Marx and Adam Deoah, please replort to the office, Elliot Marx, and Adam Deoah, to the office" she repeated herself to make sure that everyone heard properly. He froze and paled, looking up to the teacher, who was looking at him. She motioned her head to the door, telling him to go, so he grabbed his books and left the room, filled with dread. He ignored the looks he got from the people in his class until the door closed, leaving him alone to walk to the office slowly.

Elliot was just in a heated argument with his gym teacher that he wasn't going to run around and play some stupid ball game with his broken ribs, but when his name and Adam's name had been called on the intercom, he stopped and starred at the box on the wall where the voice had come from. Smirking at his teacher because he could at least get out of that situation, he waved over his shoulder as he walked out, half nervous though because he didn't know what he was being called for. He'd been called down other times before, but with what had happened earlier, he was sure this wasn't like his other trips to the office. Plus, Adam was being called down as well, that couldn't be good.

Adam clutched his books tightly to his chest as he walked down the silent halls. He dind't actually know Elliot's last name, but seeing as they had been called together he figured that Marx was his last name. He wondered what the two of them were being called down for, the only conclusion he could come to was the whole 'getting beaten up' thing. He walked into the office, and the secretary pointed to a row of chairs against the wall, so he sat down on the end, far away from the only other occupant, which was a grim-faced balding man. He sat and waited for Elliot and whatever they were called down for. He looked around the tidy room, trying to ignore the gaze of the man sitting there staring at him, so he looked at the wall, and the floor, and the ceiling, not sure where to look.

Elliot had considered taking his own sweet time to make them wait, but if Adam was there, he didn't want to leave him alone. So, he took the time it would usually take to get to the office. He even took a short cut. When he stepped in, he saw Adam looking kind of bored but slightly nervous. He flashed him a smile to show that they'd be okay. "Don't worry, Adam. Not like they can actually do anything to us," he whispered so the odd other visitor and the secretary didn't hear. He sat next to Adam, his tail twitching somewhat anxiously. "We'll probably be fine."

Adam sat silently until someone else walked in the room, and he looked up to see that it was Elliot. He smiled a bit nervously back at him, trying to let the whisper console his nerves as the other neko sat down beside him. "Probably" he agreed quietly, wondering again why they were there. His face was still pale and he looked around, his gaze constantly switching, lingering on Elliot a bit longer than the rest of the things he looked at. A few minutes after his boyfriend arrived, the principal walked in, looking at the two of them before smiling kindly and motioning them inside. "I'd just like to have a little chat with you two" she said before walking back inside. Adam got to his feet and put his books down on the chair he had been sitting on, before walking across the room to the door of the principal's office.

Elliot didn't wait long until the principal of their school walked out and told them to get inside. Elliot stood and walked behind Adam as he walked into the office. He sat down as Adam sat down, directing his attention to the principal.
"So, you two were absent without explanation yesterday, and I've been told from all your teachers that you were out 'sick'. So, what's your story? I was just in a phone call with your gym teacher, Mr. Marx, that you broke your ribs getting pushed down stairs? Did this happen when you two were out sick, as well?" Elliot shifted uncomfortably in his chair. The principle might know something. Possibly from the police.

Adam sat down in one of the chairs and turned his attention to the principal, though he glanced sideways at Elliot as she started speaking. His face was pale and he looked like he coudl have been sick yesterday, but that was just his nerves. He knew that they had lied their way around the police officer, and the principal should be just as easy, or easier, but them being in the office could mean a call to his parents. "Umm, yes, we were sick. Weird that it was on the same day, but we probably caught it from one another while hanging out or something. It was really bad, but I'm better now. I think Elliot is too" he said, trying his best to seem relaxed and not tense, and he had his broken arm pulled into the sleeve of his sweater so that the white cast didn't attract any quiestions as well.

The principal wasn't buy it. Any of it. They were both terrible liars, but he let them get away with believing they were getting away with their fake story. He just nodded his head as if he was accepting it. "Coincidental indeed, boys. And I'll take your word for it," he lied. "And you agree with his story, correct Mr. Marx? Making sure there is nothing different in your words here, boys."

Adam fiddled with the hem of his shirt nervously with his good hand, completely sure that the principal didn't beleive him. He twisted the fabric between his fingers, pretty uncaware of it, even though it betrayed his nerves. He glanced at the clock, trying to seem like he was completely confident in the answer he had previously given, and just wanting to get back to class. "Um, are we going to be much longer? Because I'm missing a test right now. . ." he lied, hoping that they would be able to go with no problems.

Elliot was a little less nervous than Adam, but he agreed when he wanted out soon. "Oh, yes, of course," the principle answered, nodding. He pondered the matter and the boys' answer for a moment more. "Well, I just need a short minute more of your time." Elliot didn't know what more he could hold them back here for.

Adam bit back his sigh when the principal answered, wearily wondering what they were still staying there for. "What for?" he asked innocently, looking as puzzled as he could. He was good at faking things like that, even if lying wasn't something he was good at. He had lived the past few years of his life acting completely innocent and like he didn't know what was going on, but he could lie on paper, which was how he had gotten into the school in the first place.

"Oh, hold on there, boys. You shouldn't be in such a rush when we're discussing something important," he said, waving his head. "Don't worry, I'll have you both back in your classes soon enough, then you won't miss any of your lessons." Elliot just sighed. This wasn't getting over fast enough. If only he could use his amazing thief skills to sneak away.

Adam slouched a bit in his chair, looking bored. He didn't want to be in there anymore. Frankly, being in the room scared him, scenes of his parents burtsing through the door playing through his mind. What would happen if they did find out, and that's why he was still there? And maybe Elliot was there because a teacher had seen them together and knew they were friends? "Well what's so important then?" he asked, trying to sound indifferent.

((Um, I have no idea. . . maybeeee, a teacher saw Adam kiss Elliot at lunch and the principal can tell them to have safe sex to prevent STDs? I dunno what that was, my mind is sorta dead heheh. it could always be another police dude trying to get some information from them?? noo clue))
